Medical Research Technician

NEVEC is searching for a Medical Research Technician. The successful applicant will perform the following responsibilities:

• Plan assays, execute them, and participate in interpreting results.
• Responsible for accurate record-keeping and writing protocols and assay validation schemes.
• While generally being assigned projects to see through and work independently on under the supervision of a manager, the candidate must be a team player and be able and willing to work with other technicians when special projects arise.
• Provide quality control documentation of all study activities as assigned.
• Perform rapid succession EKGs. Obtain vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration and temperature.
• Collection of specimens for testing.
• Observe participant behavior during all phases of study activity and communicate pertinent observations to a Study Manager or Research Associate.
• Report any adverse event (AE) to the Study Manager or Research Associate.
• Provide support to Study Manager or Research Associate during all phases of study progression.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Primary experience should include a minimum of 5 years experience as part of a high traffic Emergency Room. We are looking for candidates that can treat victims of industrial accidents and handle the stresses of a potentially high danger environment.
• Qualified applicants must have 1-5 years lab experience, related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience and graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or emergency medical technician program or FMG required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
