Agricultural Technician - Level 3

NEVEC is searching for an Agricultural Technician ? Level 3. The successful applicant will perform the following responsibilities:

• Test and support agricultural compounds that will be key to the success of the global agriculture industry.
• Independently start and carry through to completion formulation projects originating from either requests or market driven formulations at our research facilities.
• Use analytical techniques, including assay, viscosity, and particle size analysis to support formulation development work on laboratory and plant-size scales.

Basic Qualifications:

• A science degree plus at least 5 years of industrial experience with all types of agricultural formulations, including liquids, powders and granular.
• Proven experience with establishing large volume food crops as well as eco-system management. Ideal candidates will have experience raising crops in harsh environments.
• Former Peace Corps or similar experience would be considered valuable.
• An understanding of soil analysis is required and a strong genetics background a plus.
• Communication and leadership skills necessary for interaction with production personnel.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
